A massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan on yesterday’s afternoon which caused a horrific huge tsunami. The tsunami waves were 10 meters high which literally washed away people, cars, and houses. Sendai prefecture was the most area affected by the earthquake and then tsunami, also Miyagi, Fukushima, Chiba and Tokyo. A magnitude 6.6 aftershock hit Niigata prefecture on western Japan after 12 hours.
Over 1,000 people are estimated to be dead, and hundreds are missing in Japan. My heart and prayers to my brothers, sisters, and friends in Japan. May god be with them!
